I open my eyes, still half-dazed from a lovely dream that had just begun. I get up and pull up the blinds. A new day begins. The sun rises on the horizon; a blackbird sings. Good morning—everything is good, everything is fine; if only it could always be this way. The scent of fresh croissants and brewed coffee drifts through every room, while outside, birds trill in the trees. I savor these sounds and the fresh morning air. I head to the mailbox, retrieve the newspaper, and go back inside. Breakfast with my loved ones—what could be better? As everyone eats, I read jokes from the paper to my family, just as I do every morning. We all laugh, feeling happy and having fun. Good morning—everything is good, everything is fine; if only it could always be this way. Still early in the morning, for a very good reason, we set off on a journey—my wife, the children, and our dog. The air is cool and the view is clear; the breeze brushes against our faces. Everyone is full of excitement, for we are heading toward the vast sea. I reflect on how wonderful it all is and say to myself: everything is good, everything is fine—if only it could always be this way. Everything is good, everything is fine—if only it could always be this way. Everything is good, everything is fine—if only it could always be this way.
