In the falling rain A vision was shown A flame without colour That stood on its own The invisible took them We gave them a voice In the language of ashes We made our first choice From the black flame Our path was begun Carrying silence Until it is done No glory awaited No path was yet drawn Only the weight Of the ones who are gone From the black flame Our path was begun Carrying silence Until it is done The first step was taken In darkness and rain The black flame still burns And the silence remains
