Exhausted by the quiet weight of the day, the heroine lies silently upon her bed. She glances once at the clock beside her, then gently closes her eyes. She barely lingers between waking and dreaming before her body surrenders itself to silence. The world slowly recedes around her, and soon, she begins to dream. ——— *Male Lead (in her dream): There was a place never meant to be touched— and still my feet carried me there. Mist climbing the mountainside. Higher. Higher still. Silver rabbits slipping through cracks in stone. Glass trees trembling softly in the dark. And somewhere behind them— a one-eyed doe watching. Waiting. Red spider lilies burning from dead branches like wounds that never closed. No water. No voice. Nothing living where living things should be. Only— the wings of frogs, the bodies of ants, blue roses breathing faintly beneath the mist. The mountain turning around me. Or perhaps— it was only me coming undone. Fear. Hunger. Wonder. Something hollowing me from within. Lord… do not let the daylight disappear. Not yet. Not here. Time slipping through unseen hands. And I— I no longer know what shape I was meant to keep. Fear has worn through me. Hesitation has left me wandering half-formed. Lord… do not let the final light sink behind the hills. Do not leave me inside this mountain. Not forever. Not like this. Forever… bound to this place… Lord— ——— Closing Scene — After the Dream Morning light falls softly across her face. Before the alarm has the chance to sound, she is already awake. Yet she remains still for a while, as the fragments of the dream slowly return to her — that familiar face, those gentle and sorrowful eyes. She takes a deep breath and lets it go slowly… For a long moment, she simply stares ahead in silence. Then, quietly, almost to herself, she whispers: Silly one… who told you you had to stay there alone? Then, she rises, and reaches for the plane ticket resting beside her bed… —————————————————— These lyrics were written and are owned by Rachel’s Original (Rachel Liu).
