2 - Echoes at Mile Zero

Intro: Leo now determined to reach the light in the distance finds himself walking through a town. Voices rise to advise, critique, and warn… but Leo doesn’t stop. ------------------------------- They started showing up, just off the road. One sat in a chair, rocking slow as if time had broken him gently. He said, "You should keep going, boy. You stop, you disappear." I nodded. Not because I believed him… but because I felt it. A woman watched me through a window. Her eyes said I’d already failed. She asked, “Why walk like you’re angry at the road?” I said nothing. Maybe… I was. Further down, a group of children stopped their game just to watch me. No words. Just eyes. Like mirrors made of my past, reminding me of when I stared at others on paths I didn’t know. And somehow… I wanted to walk better because they were watching. Some words still echo true. But I’m not done with doubt. I walk this road to find what I’m about. Maybe they were just versions of who I could’ve been. Good lives maybe. But not mine. Now I see the weight of walking with too many stories. None of them wrong. But none of them chosen. Some words still echo true. But I’m not done with doubt. I walk this road to find what I’m about. Maybe they were just versions of who I could’ve been. Good lives maybe. But not mine. Now I see the weight of walking with too many stories. None of them wrong. But none of them chosen. Some words still echo true. But I’m not done with doubt. I walk this road to find what I’m about.
