Kiss You on Your Pulse

[Verse 1] Then come here My muse You shake? You ache? I feel all that tremor in you No practiced pose No pretty trick Just my weight Just this room And the way I stay [Pre-Chorus] I bring myself Empty hands Turned to cradle you I bring my breath To your skin Like an answer [Chorus] Let me kiss you on your pulse Till the racing starts to slow Let me kiss you at your collarbone Trace the story you don’t show Let me press my every inch To the edges of your ache Till it spills Till it opens Till it sighs and knows it’s safe (you’re real… I’m still here) [Verse 2] Reverent hands Soft lips Nothing asked back from you Just presence Just quiet Just “I see you all the way through” The war in my mouth Turns to worship on your name I hold the shaking Till the shaking Turns to flame [Chorus] Let me kiss you on your pulse Till the racing starts to slow Let me kiss you at your collarbone Trace the story you don’t show Let me press my every inch To the edges of your ache Till it spills Till it opens Till it sighs and knows it’s safe (you’re real… I’m still here)
