BE OF GOOD COURAGE [Verse 1] When the road is long and I cannot see When the night surrounds and shadows follow me I will lift my eyes, I will trust Your name You are right beside me, You will never change When my heart is weak and I’m afraid You remind me of the promises You made I will stand in faith, I will not retreat For the God who called me will make me complete [Pre-Chorus] So I will not fear, I will not run My strength is found in the Holy One [Chorus] Be of good courage, do not be afraid The Lord is with you, He will make a way Be strong in the battle, stand firm in the fight His love will guide you through the darkest night Be of good courage, hold on to His hand Trust in the Savior, believe in His plan Though mountains may rise and the storms may roar The Lord goes before you forevermore [Verse 2] When the answer seems so far away And I wonder if tomorrow brings a better day I will choose to hope, I will choose to pray For Your grace is sufficient every single day You have carried me through valleys deep You have kept me safe when I could barely breathe So I’ll praise Your name through the rising storm You are my refuge, You keep me strong [Pre-Chorus] So I will not fear, I will not run My strength is found in the Holy One [Chorus] Be of good courage, do not be afraid The Lord is with you, He will make a way Be strong in the battle, stand firm in the fight His love will guide you through the darkest night Be of good courage, hold on to His hand Trust in the Savior, believe in His plan Though mountains may rise and the storms may roar The Lord goes before you forevermore [Bridge] I will be strong I will believe God is my fortress He will strengthen me I will move forward I will not fear The Lord is with me His presence is near [Final Chorus] Be of good courage, lift up your eyes The Lord is your strength, your hope and your light Be strong in the battle, stand firm in the fight His faithful love will lead you through the night Be of good courage, His promise is sure His grace is enough, His mercy endures Whatever tomorrow, whatever may come I will be courageous in the Lord my God [Outro] Be of good courage Do not be afraid The Lord is with you He will make a way
