Push the Button
Where crimson banners kiss the sky, And golden eagles proudly fly, Beyond the hills, beyond the stars, An army marches near and far. With silver hair and eyes of green, The boldest commander ever seen, A galaxy tail beneath the light— Commander Kaelith leads the fight! She fears no beast, she fears no foe, She fears no place that she might go. But most importantly of all... She fears no button on the wall. Deep in the hall where the banners glow, There's one red button sitting below. The soldiers gather, wondering too: "Commander! What does that button do?" Kaelith grins with a sparkle of glee: "I don't know... ...so let's go see!" Push the button! Ring the bell! What comes after? Who can tell?! Raise the banners! Sound the drums! Something ridiculous THIS WAY COMES! HEY! Push first! Charge together! Ask questions? NEVER! The generals gather with maps in hand, Drawing careful arrows across the land. "We've measured the distance!" "We've studied the sea!" "We've planned every detail from A down to Z!" Then Kaelith spots something... Bright... Red... And shiny. "Ohhh..." "No." "What?" "Commander..." "It's probably fine." "COMMANDER, NO!" The engines awaken! The warning lights gleam! "THIS WASN'T PART OF THE SCHEME!" But onward they charge with laughter and song, Because somehow this army keeps rolling along! Through kingdoms enchanted and faraway stars, Past moonlit forests and planets like Mars, Through castles and caverns, through portals untold, They carry their banners of crimson and gold! From ancient machines buried deep underground, To mysterious levers just waiting around, Where sensible heroes would study and learn— Kaelith already pulled it. Everybody turn. RUN! Push the button! Ring the bell! Are we doomed? Eh, hard to tell! Raise the banners! Sound the drums! Something ridiculous THIS WAY COMES! Fire above us! Smoke together! Push first! ASK QUESTIONS NEVER! La-da-da! Da-da-da-da! "Was that supposed to explode?!" "Probably!" "PROBABLY?!" "Keep marching!" So sing from the mountains! Sing over the sea! For the wildest battalion that ever could be! Their courage is mighty! Their loyalty tall! Their caution... ...is practically nothing at all. And standing before them, courageous and bright, Their Commander smiles in the shimmering light. For heroes may ponder, And scholars may yearn, But there's one sacred lesson They all have to learn... When mystery calls you... When destiny beckons... When somebody says: "Maybe give us a second..." There's only one answer. PUSH FIRST! PUSH FIRST! ASK QUESTIONS— NEVER! Raise the crimson! Raise the gold! Let another foolish story be told! Through every kingdom! Through every endeavor! PUSH FIRST! ASK QUESTIONS! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! "...Commander?" "Hmm?" "Was that really wise?" "No idea." BOOM! "Ooooh." RED BUTTON ARMY!
