[Intro] [Fast banjo roll] [Acoustic guitar strumming] (Shh... shh... shh...) [Verse 1] Down on Main Street, where the dust don't settle Susie's got a rag and a shine for the metal Old man Miller and the boys from the farm Waiting for the magic in her golden arm She can fix a scuff, she can heal a soul Working that leather 'til it's black as coal [Pre-Chorus] [Fiddle solo] Where she sits, she shines And where she shines, she sits She's got the town in the palm of her mitts! [Chorus] I saw Susie sitting in a shoeshine shop Where she sits she shines, and she'll never stop Where she shines she sits, in a shoeshine shop Polishing the leather 'til the heels go "pop!" I saw Susie sitting in a shoeshine shop! [Bridge] [Fast-paced Bluegrass breakdown] [Banjo and Fiddle duel] Sits and shines! Shines and sits! (Faster!) Sits and shines and shines and sits! [Harmonica wail] [Chorus] I saw Susie sitting in a shoeshine shop Where she sits she shines, and she'll never stop Where she shines she sits, in a shoeshine shop Polishing the leather 'til the heels go "pop!" [Outro] Down in the shop... Just Susie and the shoes... [Final acoustic guitar twang] [Sound of a boot stomp]
