Act 3 Scene 20- He is Risen!
Act 3, Scene 20 — “He Is Risen” (From Mary Magdalene’s perspective — energized, urgent, alive) [Intro – whispered, fast rhythm] He said He would They said He couldn’t I saw the grave And now it’s wooden [Verse 1 – urgent, moving] Ran through the garden, breath in my chest Heart like thunder, no time to rest Tomb wide open, linens thrown Where is my Rabbi? Where has He gone? [Beat drops – tempo lifts] I thought they stole Him, I thought it was done But then He called me like the rising sun Said my name and I knew His voice Every bone in me began to rejoice [Chorus – rhythmic and bright] He is risen, tell the street Wake the city, move your feet I saw Him walking, living flame He’s alive—go praise His name No more weeping, no more fear Tell the world: He’s not here He is risen, stone rolled wide Death stepped back—He’s still alive [Verse 2 – confident, rallying] Don’t wait on proof, I am the sign The grave lost grip, and time rewinds I watched Him die, I watched Him bleed But love can’t die—it breaks and leads [Bridge – beat breaks, spoken-sung] He broke the curse without a sword He is the Lamb, the risen Lord So if you’re doubting what you heard Let my voice become your word [Chorus – repeat, with call-and-response vibe] He is risen! (Say it loud) He is risen! (To the crowd) He is risen! (Let it ring) He is risen! (Tell the King) [Outro – triumphant] I saw Him I touched Him I ran here to tell you— He is risen Now run too 🕊️
