Verse 1 When the wilderness was fading in the rearview of their eyes, You called Your people forward where the promised blessing lies. The Jordan stood before them, but Your presence led the way, And every step upon Your Word became a path of faith. Pre-Chorus For You are with us wherever we go, Your promises remain. Chorus Be strong and courageous, our God goes before us, The Captain of Heaven is leading us on. Walls fall down at the sound of Your glory, Mountains bow low to the power of Your name. Faithful forever, victorious Savior, All that You promise will surely be done. Be strong and courageous, our hearts will trust in You, Lord, You are the One. Verse 2 The trumpets sounded loudly and the walls came crashing down, Not by strength of human hands, but by the power You pronounced. From Jericho to every land, Your mighty hand was seen, Teaching us that victory belongs to Christ the King. Bridge As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord, Through the battles and the blessings, You are our reward. Every covenant You've spoken, every word is true, Not one promise ever failed, we're holding fast to You. Bridge 2 Jesus, greater Joshua, You lead us safely home, Through the waters, through the valleys, never left alone. Our inheritance is found in You, our risen King, Forever we will worship, forever we will sing. Final Chorus Be strong and courageous, our God goes before us, The Captain of Heaven is leading us on. Sin's walls crumble at the sound of Your mercy, Death has been conquered through the power of the cross. Faithful forever, victorious Savior, All that You promise will surely be done. Be strong and courageous, our hearts will trust in You, Jesus, You are the One. Outro Not one word has failed, not one word has failed, Every promise stands forever. Not one word has failed, not one word has failed, Our God is faithful forever.
