The climate changes, And you better hope that it will, Because none of us would be here if the weather stayed still. Sea level rises each day with the tide, but that doesn’t mean we should go run and hide. Temperatures swing twenty degrees by noon, but a degree in a century will be certain doom. So save all the glaciers And protect all the oil, Cause the man on the screen says That the globe’s going to boil. The effect of a greenhouse is that plants tend to thrive, they breathe carbon dioxide And they keep us alive. Can’t say what the weather will do in a week, But they can predict anything they want, If they give the models a little tweak. Save the ice Protect the oil Kill trees to suck pop Or else the planet will boil Rewrite the laws of physics to let contrails persist, While making up names for clouds that didn’t exist. And whatever happened to acid rain? The world’s gone quiet Now that jet tails remain So Save the ice And protect the oil, Kill trees to suck juice Or the planet will boil. Well what can we do Now what’s the solution Load up the sky with aerosols, Block out the sun with pollution Shame, blame and scold us Till we believe it’s our fault The price we must pay For the crisis to halt Tax us for our breath and then again for what we eat, Modify our diet, feed us bugs instead of meat, Monetize our whole existence, Then profit when we die. Part out people as they’re passing, While their grieving families cry.
