Nirelle Aevrin Guided Meditation: “Cradle the Ember”

[spoken word] [Intro – Whispered presence] Close your eyes. Place your hands on your chest—one over the other. Breathe in through the nose, and exhale slowly through the mouth. Again. And again. Until the breath softens the space beneath your hands. This is where we begin. --- [1 – Descent into Presence] With each breath, allow your awareness to drop inward. As if following a candle’s glow down a spiral staircase. There is no rush. No need to force the light. Let it come to you, gently—like the memory of a lullaby. You arrive in a quiet chamber. It is warm here. Dimly lit by the soft pulse of an ember— Not fire, not flame, but the memory of both. A sacred heat that never left. --- [2 – Witnessing the Inner Flame] Move toward the ember. It rests in the center of your being— Tucked beneath layers of forgetting, Shielded by tenderness too long exiled. What do you see in its glow? What ache rises as you near it? Let it rise. Let it speak. If tears come, they are holy. If no tears come, that too is sacred. You are not here to perform feeling. You are here to remember warmth. --- [3 – Cradling Memory] Imagine now that you are holding the ember in your hands. It does not burn. It remembers. This ember carries every moment you showed love when it hurt. Every silence you kept because your voice was still forming. Every goodbye you whispered without closure. Every version of you that dared to stay tender in a world that did not always reward it. Say to it—quietly or aloud: I remember you. You are not lost. You are still glowing. --- [4 – The Offering] Offer one breath into the ember. And with it, release a sorrow you’ve carried too long. Not to get rid of it, But to give it shape, To let it know it has been seen. Now breathe in again. And feel the ember brighten. Its warmth begins to flow into your arms, your chest, your throat, your eyes. You are the hearth now. You are the sacred vessel. You are the ember’s keeper. --- [5 – Return] Take three deep breaths. With each, carry the ember’s warmth into waking. Inhale. I carry the warmth. Inhale. I am the witness and the flame. Inhale. The ember lives in me. Gently open your eyes. Feel your body. Place your hands once more on your chest. The ember is with you. It never left. You never left.
