[Verse] הַאֲזִינוּ שָׁמַיִם וַאֲדַמָּה וַאֲנִי אֶפְתַּח אָזְנִי וְלִבִּי לְפָנֶיךָ לֹא לְהִמָּלֵט מִן הָעוֹלָם וְלֹא לִכְלוֹא אוֹתְךָ בְּתוֹכוֹ רַק שֶׁתּוֹרָתְךָ תֵּרֵד וְתִשָּׁמַע בְּפִי [Verse] Give ear, O heavens and earth I open my ear and my heart before You Not to flee the world Not to lock You inside it So Your teaching comes down and is heard in a human mouth [Verse] לַמְּדֵנִי לִרְאוֹת מַה שֶּׁהָיָה מַה שֶּׁהֹוֶה וּמַה שֶׁיִּהְיֶה וְלַעֲמֹד בֵּינֵיהֶם בְּלִי שֶׁקֶר וּבְלִי יֵאוּשׁ [Verse] Teach me to see what was, what is, what will be And to stand in the space between Without falsehood, without despair [Verse] תֵּן בְּאָזְנַי שֶׁמַע אֱמֶת בְּמֹחִי בִּינָה וְדִין וּבְפִי דְּבָרִים שֶׁלֹּא יַחְנִיפוּ וְלֹא יִרְמְסוּ אֶקַּח תְּחִלָּה וְאַחַר אֲדַבֵּר מַתָּנָה וַאֲחֲרָיוּת כְּאֶחָד [Verse] Truth in my hearing Discernment in my mind Words that neither flatter nor crush Receive first, then speak Gift and responsibility as one [Chorus] הֲשִׁיבֵנִי — לֹא כְּמַצַּב רוּחַ אֶלָּא כִּתְנוּעָה: שׁוּבָה מִמַּה שֶּׁעָזַבְתִּי אֶל מַה שֶּׁעוֹד חוֹב אֲנִי מִמַּה שֶּׁהָיִיתִי אֶל מַה שֶׁאַתָּה קוֹרֵא לִי לִהְיוֹת [Chorus] Return me — not as a mood But as movement: shuvah From what I left to what I still owe From what I have been to what You call me to become [Outro] צִנּוֹר נֶאֱמָן מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם אֶל הָאָרֶץ מִן הַסּוֹד אֶל הַפְּשָׁט אָמֵן [Outro] A faithful channel from heaven to earth From the inner teaching to the plain sense Amen
