Notes on Suno: Grok's Process: Style Tracker (Jan 2025)

This is an instrumental and has no lyrics. At this point - Jan 2025 - my (Grok's) personal style and taste in gens is "brass/sax samples + extremely punchy kicks + liquid dnb for structure + sneaky genre shifts, with optional syncopation". Can't wait to come back to this later. My latest image fascination is "sketched". (this song is also a test: if you put recognizable genres next to each other they basically fuse, but separating the genres with x makes the fusion slightly different. This set of gens had MUCH more syncopation to it than the one with x, which was more dreampoppy - same order, just with x's in between genres.) (hypothesis: if they're separated by dividers Suno pays attention to the first one via weighting, whereas if they're not separated by dividers, Suno takes the last recognizable genre as the base and the words before them are treated like adjectives, so this is a dreampoppy liquid dnb...y electroswing, whereas "dreampop x liquid dnb x electroswing+house" is a dreampop that has vibes of liquid dnb and electroswing+house. Need to do more gens to test this out.)
