[Intro] Look to the branches, the season is near, The voice of the Savior rings loud and clear. The heavens may tremble, the earth pass away, But the words of the Lord will forever stay! [Verse 1] Learn from the fig tree, look at its leaves, Summer is coming, just as He decrees. When branches grow tender and new leaves appear, You know that the season is then drawing near. So watch all around you, discern what you see, The signs of the kingdom, what His coming will be. When all these things happen, remember His word, The promise is certain, the truth you have heard! [Pre-Chorus] Heaven and earth may crumble and fall, But the Word of the King will outlast them all! Generations will eventually fade away. But His eternal promise will never decay! [Chorus] WHEN THE FIG TREE BLOOMS, THE KINGDOM IS NEAR! Lift up your eyes, and let go of your fear! Heaven and earth, will all pass away, But the words of the Lord, forever will stay! WATCH AND BE READY! THE HOUR IS UNKNOWN! No man can claim what the Father has known! The Son of Man comes when the world least expects Stand firm in His Word, be ready, be set! [Verse 2] No one knows the hour, no one knows the day, Not the angels in heaven, no wisdom can say. The Father alone, holds the time in His hand, His sovereign command, rules the sea and the land. Like the days of Noah, they drank to consume, They lived without thought of the impending doom. They never imagined the judgment would come, Until the appointed hour and the deed was done. [Pre-Chorus] Don't sleep through the warning, don't drift into night, Keep watch for the Savior, walk faithful in light! The world may ignore Him, the proud may seem strong, But the Word of the Lord will never be wrong! [Bridge] “When you see these things happening…” Know that the kingdom is near! “Heaven and earth will pass away…” But His words remain clear! The clock keeps turning, the seasons unfold, The story is written, the future foretold. Don't worship the signs, let the signs point the way, To the Christ who is coming, the Truth on that day! [Breakdown] NO ONE KNOWS THE DAY! NO ONE KNOWS THE HOUR! THE FATHER HOLDS THE TIME! THE KING HOLDS THE POWER! So watch and stand firm! Keep faith and be ready! His Word will never pass! Let it keep you steady! [Final Chorus] WHEN THE FIG TREE BLOOMS, THE KINGDOM IS NEAR! The promise of Jesus is faithful and clear! Heaven and earth will all pass away, But the words of the Lord forever will stay! WATCH AND BE READY! THE HOUR IS UNKNOWN! The King is returning to claim what's His own! Through every generation, His truth will remain The Word of the Lord will forever reign! [Outro] The branches are tender… The leaves have appeared… The season is changing… The kingdom draws near… No one knows the hour. No one knows the day. But the Word of the Lord, Forever will stay.
