We’re gonna lose our beloved OSGrid Virtual Reality on Dec. 31, 2026. Packing out R&M Creations, front counter under red markdown tags. Mesh dresses on the peg wall, cheap trinkets rattling in split-lid tubs. Scuffed tile, MillyAnn gloss on the walls. Dragging it all through the Hypergrid, parcel by parcel, crate by crate. Can I stack it clean and clear it out before the shutters come down? Last hour in the shop — one hand on the till, one on the tape gun. Fresh build, fresh build — trim what fits and call it done. No more corner shops, no more mall hallways. No more couches in the back where we’d crash after midnight. We’re folding table legs, cutting the power, sealing the cartons shut. The receipt drawer’s still hanging open by the till. Fresh build, fresh build — shake it loose and make it new. We’ll set it down somewhere else, sure. Pull the tape, carry the signs, lock the glass. But this place got under our skin, it’s in my blood. A big part of what I made is clattering around in my hands. We’ll end up OpenSim Hypergrid hoppers. Hauling the good stuff over the grid lines. Hoping the scripts, textures, custom animations will make the trip. Some might snag, some might warp in the transfer. It’s a leap of faith, packets and all. Holding onto ghost data. Hoping it lands somewhere that still feels like the mall after closing time. I said I’d make more — here’s the test. To shine once more, do my best. I’ve started over four times, here we go again. At Least Aussie will be with me for New horizons. Bringing a few bright pieces, enough to light the next room. Fresh build, fresh build — new room, same hands, same grind. This isn’t the end of the line. Just a reset, a fresh build, a brave new beginning. On a brave new Grid! We'll keep the Beacon on & the candles lit!
