[Verse 1] You’re not exactly speaking clear But in your mind, you’re Shakespeare Don’t get a D-U-I as a souvenir Cause you sure as hell can’t steer I suggest you stay right here You don’t need another beer One more round won’t make you your best Let’s not do something That you might regret [Chorus] Stay right here, let the keys rest Stay right here, let the keys rest One more round won’t make you your best Let’s not do something That you might regret [Verse 2] You ain’t Shakespeare And you can’t steer I suggest you stay right here You don’t need another beer Your words keep slippin’ off the track So leave the car, don’t take it back Tonight can still be a story told Just not the kind That gets you sold [Chorus] Stay right here, let the keys rest Stay right here, let the keys rest One more round won’t make you your best Let’s not do something That you might regret [Verse 3] You been drinking since noon Don’t end up on the evening news If you happen to be Listening to this tune Consider it God giving You a clue Call a friend, let the night slow down We’ll find a ride and keep you around [Chorus] Stay right here, let the keys rest Stay right here, let the keys rest One more round won’t make you your best Let’s not do something That you might regret [Outro] You ain’t Shakespeare And you can’t steer Don’t need a D-U-I as a souvenir
