God said let there be light and there was light Shining so bright in the night Just a little star shining all alone Told the world a king had been born It seemed like an anomaly, that lonely little star Shining brightly in the Eastern sky But three kings got together and talked amongst themselves And started to ask the question why? Why did this star appear and shine so bright? Why did it seem to call them in the night? Why was it so peaceful and calm? What could it be that caused this star to shine? As they talked, they remembered prophecy Of a child who would one day be a king They knew this star was new and bold that night So, they set out to see why it was so bright They decided since a king they might just greet Gifts to honor him would be the proper thing They brough gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh In their heart they knew this was a glorious birth God said let there be light and there was light Shining so bright in the night Just a little star shining all alone Told the world a king had been born Those three kings came and worshipped They bowed before the child They offered up their gifts To the child in the hay Gold for His majesty Frankincense for a priest Myrrh for sorrow in Mary’s heart These gifts they would impart And they sang a song of praise Glory, glory, glory Glory, glory, glory Glory, glory, glory to the King of Kings Glory, glory, glory Glory, glory, glory Glory, glory, glory to the Lord of Lords Glory, glory, glory Glory, glory, glory Glory, glory, glory to the king born that day God said let there be light and there was light Shining so bright in the night Just a little star shining all alone Told the world a king had been born God said let there be light and there was light Shining so bright in the night Just a little star shining all alone Told the world a king had been born Just a little star shining all alone Told the world a king had been born
