"Not By Sight" We'll use your current key, A minor, to give the song that deep, soulful feel. 🎶 Not By Sight (2 Corinthians 5 Blues) Verse 1 (Earthly Tent - 2 Corinthians 5:1-4) (Male Vocal - Reflective, acknowledging hardship) I know this earthly tent, it's gonna be torn down, Feels like I'm groaning and waiting for a heavenly crown. This body's just a house, heavy walls and thin space, I don't wanna be unclothed, I long for a better place. I wanna be clothed upon, put the weakness away, ’Cause this old, dusty shell just fades away every day. We're burdened in this dwelling, walking through the dust, But the spirit gives the guarantee, in Him is all our trust. Chorus (The Core Phrase - 2 Corinthians 5:6-8) (Male Lead with Full Background Choir/Strings - Dynamic and driving) So we walk by faith, and not by sight, We’re confident, and know we’re always in the Light. We're absent from the body, and present with the Lord, Every step is a promise, more precious than hoarded gold. Yeah, we're at home in the Lord, when we're gone from here below, We walk by faith, not by sight, 'cause that's the only way to grow! Verse 2 (New Creation & Reconciliation - 2 Corinthians 5:16-21) (Female Vocal - Reflective, focusing on spiritual truth) We regard no one now from a human point of view, The old ways are gone, behold, all things are new. He made the one who knew no sin, be sin for us here, So in Him we become the righteousness, banishing all fear. We're ambassadors for Christ, pleading with a holy hand, Telling the broken and the lost about reconciliation in the land. We're children of the New, in Him we find our worth, He reconciled us to Himself, bringing heaven to the earth. Guitar Solo (Instrumental Break - A Minor Blues Scale) (A dynamic solo showcasing skill and emotion. The lead guitar wails and finds a clear, assertive pattern that represents the confidence derived from faith, using the A Blues Scale.) Bridge (Ambition and Motivation - 2 Corinthians 5:9-10, 15) (Male and Female Duet - Urgent, fast-paced guidance) MALE: Our ambition is simple, whether present or away, We seek only to please the Lord, at the close of every day. FEMALE: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, To receive what we are due, at whatever cost or price. BOTH: He died for us all, so we live no more for self, But for Him who gave His life, more than earthly wealth! Chorus (Female Lead with Full Background Choir/Strings) So we walk by faith, and not by sight, We’re confident, and know we’re always in the Light. We're absent from the body, and present with the Lord, Every step is a promise, more precious than hoarded gold. Yeah, we're at home in the Lord, when we're gone from here below, We walk by faith, not by sight, 'cause that's the only way to grow! Outro (Final Affirmation) (Male Vocal with Choir Ad-Libs - Fading out with a steady beat) We walk by faith... (Choir: Walk by faith!) Not by the shadow... (Choir: Not by sight!) We've got our guarantee... (Choir: The Spirit gives the word!) We're gonna keep on moving... until we see the Lord! (Music fades slowly on a final, sustained Am chord.)
