Being A Proud American Go ahead and ask me How can that be? I know you are proud Of being so free We have our issues And all those challenges But if you look at the bigger picture Everything just balances That is not really what Makes us so different Yea and sometimes maybe It's why we can be a little belligerent We are called Ameri-cans It's right in our name If we were called American nots It would not be the same Sure we could dwell on the negative But that is not who we really are If we did that, no way Could we have come this far Do you have the drive? We are the world's incubator Can you make a better mousetrap? Come here and be a creator This is the place to take a chance Give it a try, don't think of failure If it doesn't work out We are not going to jail ya It's that one big win That makes up for those small losses We are the land of the billionaires You can be one of those bosses So give it your all Don't let them distract you Here is the place Where you can be one of the few So I am a proud American We can accomplish anything It does not have to be a perfect strike We are always ready to take a swing And that is why I am a proud American
