The shadows stretch across the weary land, Yet on four Mile Road we still stand. I look back to the boy beneath the tree, Who saw Your glory where the clouds run free— A lifelong calling woven in the spark, To hold the line and keep me still Standing against the dark. Thank You, Father, for the enduring light, That kept me standing through the fiercest night. When the destroyer came with blade and chain, And the dark forces whispered their fear and pain, You gave me boldness where the spirits press, To break the bonds and stand for righteousness. Now keep my vision sharp, and my spirit deep, To guard the night when the weary people sleep. I'll lift them up, an uncompromised defense, And check the walls with holy diligence. For every soul that's searching for the light, I’ll stand the watch and buy them through the night. Still standing strong, by pure resilience fed, Because I bowed for You, and You allowed me to keep my head. The tides may pull at the Bayou inlet, And the winds may howl at the Pines, But the promise we carry is a promise kept, Still Standing by Heaven’s designs. From the first floor up to the highest room, Where the weary seek their rest, We speak a word that breaks the gloom, And puts our faith to the test. One steady light, one steady hand, A mission that will not cease, To reach every soul across this land, And offer them labor and peace. The office is firm, the family is strong, The flight is steady and true, We’ve been "Still Standing" all along, And we’re standing here for you.
