[Verse] On the porch they sit and chat, searching what to say Dad's got a hunch that maybe son's gone the other way Mom says she'll put a fiver down just to play along Both laugh and smile, they've known it all along [Chorus] Doesn't matter who he loves either way's alright Long as he's happy gonna love him day and night Raise a glass to love cause it's our family song Gay or straight he's our boy where he goes we all belong [Verse 2] Dad recalls the time when Bobby kissed that Jess Mom laughs and shrugs maybe love's a guessing mess Hearts are what they follow let the pieces fall Son you're our pride and joy no matter who you call [Chorus] Doesn't matter who he loves either way's alright Long as he's happy gonna love him day and night Raise a glass to love cause it's our family song Gay or straight he's our boy where he goes we all belong [Bridge] Mom winks at dad and says you know it don't mean much We've all got roads to follow no matter who we touch Dad nods and smiles true love that's all that counts Son you find your own way, we're with you all the way round [Chorus] Doesn't matter who he loves either way's alright Long as he's happy gonna love him day and night Raise a glass to love cause it's our family song Gay or straight he's our boy where he goes we all belong
