Beneath the leaves so red they hum A song of love where hearts succumb The breeze it whispers Soft and low Where the cerise blossoms glow Oh my love Oh my love Let the sound of my cello call you home Oh my love Oh my love I’ll be waiting under the cerise tree A shadow dances on the bark The moonlight paints the world in spark Every note A thread of gold Binding stories never told The night it sways The stars lean close Each string sings what my heart knows Oh my love Oh my love Let the sound of my cello call you home Oh my love Oh my love I’ll be waiting under the cerise tree Every petal falling slow Marks the time till you will show A melody A silent vow Play it then Play it now
