[INTRO — SPOKEN] Before the curses… There was a promise. Before the judgment… There was a choice. If you listen… If you obey… If you walk in the commandments of the Most High… These blessings won’t just find you. They’ll overtake you. [VERSE 1] Blessed in the city, blessed out in the field, Blessed when the ground gives back everything that you yield. Blessed be your children, blessed the fruit of the land, Blessed when you build something with the work of your hands. Basket full. Storehouse full. Food upon the table. Not because of luck, but the Most High made you able. Blessed when you’re coming, blessed when you go, Everywhere your feet move, watch the blessings overflow. Imagine generations never questioning their name, Children knowing who they are and who deserves the praise. Land producing. Families growing. Peace around the door. Not chasing every nation trying to figure out what’s more. Because the blessing wasn’t random. There was order underneath. Hear the voice of the Most High. Walk according to His speech. That’s the covenant before us. That’s the choice before our eyes. Obedience had a promise: Walk with the Most High. [CHORUS] We always trust in the Most High, Even when the road gets hard, we keep our heads high. Through the tears, through the years, through the long nights, We always trust in the Most High. We always trust in the Most High, When everything around us says we won’t rise. We remember the covenant, get our hearts right. We always trust in the Most High. [VERSE 2] Enemies come one way, seven ways they flee, That’s the kind of protection He promised Israel would see. Blessing on the storehouse, blessing on the land, Blessing on the labor when you work it with your hands. Rain falling in its season, heaven giving what you need, Ground opening beneath you, bringing harvest from the seed. Lend unto the nations, not depending on a loan, Building up your households, having something of your own. Head and never tail. Above and not beneath. But listen to the condition running underneath: Don’t turn right. Don’t turn left. Don’t follow other gods. Don’t forget the One who brought you when the journey became hard. Prosperity can test you just as much as being poor. When everything is going right, will you remember even more? Will your children know His statutes? Will your household know His ways? Will you honor the Most High when you’re living better days? [CHORUS] We always trust in the Most High, Even when the road gets hard, we keep our heads high. Through the tears, through the years, through the long nights, We always trust in the Most High. We always trust in the Most High, When everything around us says we won’t rise. We remember the covenant, get our hearts right. We always trust in the Most High. [BRIDGE — SPOKEN] Think about that. Blessed coming in. Blessed going out. Blessed children. Blessed land. Blessed work. Protection from your enemies. Rain in its season. The head… and not the tail. Above… and not beneath. But every promise had something attached to it. Listen. Obey. Remember. [VERSE 3] He would establish Israel as a people set apart, But the covenant was deeper than some words inside your heart. Walk it out. Live it daily. Let the nations recognize there’s a people living differently because they serve the Most High. This wasn’t riches just for riches. Wasn’t wealth to feed your pride. Every blessing had a purpose. Every gift came from on high. Food enough to feed the household. Land enough to plant the seed. Strength enough to face your enemies. Rain enough to meet the need. Children knowing generations that their fathers had a law. Knowing Egypt wasn’t fiction. Knowing what their fathers saw. Knowing freedom had a meaning. Knowing covenant had a cost. Because a people without memory can forget what they have lost. So when Moses gave the blessings, he was showing them the road. Showing what obedience brings when you carry what you’re told. There was life upon that pathway. There was blessing on that side. There was everything a nation needs provided by the Most High. [FINAL CHORUS] WE ALWAYS TRUST IN THE MOST HIGH. Even when the road gets hard, we keep our heads high. Through the tears, through the years, through the long nights… We always trust in the Most High. WE ALWAYS TRUST IN THE MOST HIGH. When everything around us says we won’t rise… We remember the covenant. Get our hearts right. We always trust… We always trust… We always trust… IN THE MOST HIGH. [OUTRO — SPOKEN, DARKER] But Moses wasn’t finished. Because the covenant had another side. The blessing came with obedience. And if Israel would not listen… If Israel would not keep the commandments… If Israel turned aside… Then just as surely as the blessings could overtake them… Something else could overtake them too. And that’s where Deuteronomy twenty-eight gets heavy. Because the next words are… But it shall com
