INTRO (Spoken over acoustic guitar): "Every victory starts with a first step. Every champion walks through the willdernes first. Jesus did. Israel did. You will too. This is the willdernes road. VERSE 1 (Steady, folk storytelling): I'm walking down this willdernes road Forty days ahead, so I'm told VERSE 2 (More confident): The enemy whispers "Turn the stones to bread" But I remember what the Scriptures said "Man shall not live by bread alone" I got the Word, I'm not alone Forty days might feel like forever But this is where my faith gets better Strip away what I don't need Plant in me the Victor's seed PRE-CHORUS 2: Moses wandered forty years Israel learned to conquer fears Jesus fasted forty days Now I'm walking in His ways
