Doing a little world building because that is one of the things I do enjoy most. So, introducing the fourth member of "The Fifth Horseman" a little experimental band thing I am trying. Depending how well these go will decide how far I continue this world building experiment. Age: 40 Band position: Rhythm guitar, clean secondary vocals Demo track: BORROWED TIME Naomi is the emotional center of the band. Not Filthborn’s opposite exactly, but the person who can sit beside her without demanding anything from her. Long dark hair, usually loose or tied low. Minimal makeup. Black denim, heavy knit sweaters, long weathered coats, boots. A few pieces of silver jewelry, all gifts from people she cared about. She keeps things because of who gave them to her, not because of what they’re worth. Naomi has an unnerving ability to make people tell her things. She doesn't pry. She simply gives someone her complete attention, and people eventually start talking. Death isn't morbid. She actually gets annoyed when people assume she is. She likes birthdays. Weddings. Ridiculous traditions. Old photographs. People laughing too loudly. Getting everyone together for dinner even when nobody has time. Because Naomi understands something the others intellectually know but she feels constantly: Nothing gets to happen forever. Her rhythm guitar playing is huge but restrained. Dane cuts through songs; Naomi holds them together. Broad chords, sustained weight, deliberate movement. She creates the ground everyone else stands on. And vocally she has a low, textured contralto. Not enormous range-for-the-sake-of-range theatrics. Just an incredibly human voice with wear in it. Typical Naomi, when Dane says something stupid: “You know I eventually win every argument, right?” Dane: “…That is deeply unfair.” Naomi: “Still true.”
