[Intro] It's complicated. It's complicated. It's... Complicated. [Verse 1] You changed your profile picture I started an investigation You liked my story Then ignored my invitation Your friends say we're over My friends disagree The evidence is somehow Contradicting itself weekly Your toothbrush is still here Your plants are still alive Your Netflix account Still thinks that we cohabitate I got a text at midnight Saying "hope you're okay" Which scientifically Explains absolutely nothing [Pre-Chorus] Are we ending? Are we not? Did we break up? Maybe not Did we fix it? Hard to say Nobody opened the box today [Hook] It's Schrödinger's relationship, baby Together and apart Alive in theory Dead in my heart It's Schrödinger's relationship, baby Nobody really knows Until somebody checks The status of the ghost [Verse 2] We still send memes That's suspicious We still share passwords That's ambitious You still steal fries Off my plate Which doesn't feel Like ex-people behavior You call me accidentally Three times a week Then hang up Before either of us can speak The data says yes The data says no The data needs therapy And additional controls [Pre-Chorus] Are we moving on? Are we stuck? Are we healing? Out of luck? Are we strangers? Are we close? Nobody knows Nobody knows [Hook] It's Schrödinger's relationship, baby Together and apart Alive in theory Dead in my heart It's Schrödinger's relationship, baby Nobody really knows Until somebody checks The status of the ghost [Bridge] Call Don't call Stay Don't stay Leave Don't leave Wait Don't wait Every answer Creates a problem Every silence Creates another [Breakdown] Maybe closure Is a myth Maybe certainty Already left Maybe we're just A probability wave Refusing To behave [Final Hook] It's Schrödinger's relationship, baby Together and apart Alive in theory Dead in my heart It's Schrödinger's relationship, baby Nobody really knows Until somebody checks The status of the ghost Open the box Open the box Open the box Or don't [Outro] It's complicated... It's complicated... It's... Complicated...
