I was just a-going fishing To see what I could find I thought that I would tell you I’d do the washing and hang the line But when I put the boat in Something just came over me The yell of me mate, we’re gunna be late’ time we put out to sea Throwing a line I hope we catch one soon, Taking some time Watching the rising moon The beers are almost gone And we’ve eaten all the bait We’ve only caught 3 Big Eyes Maybe time to circumnavigate Tohatsu comes to life And Anchor is a-weighed Bula comes awake And sandy beach is made You stand with torch in hand Arms folded across your chest Hey We just gone a-fishing On the Island that we love best Yes we just gone a-fishing On the Island that we love best Throwing a line I hope we catch one soon, Taking some time Watching the rising moon The beers are almost gone And we’ve eaten all the bait We’ve only caught 3 Big Eyes Maybe time to circumnavigate Hey We just gone a-fishing On the Island that we love best Yes we just gone a-fishing On the Island that we love best Hey now why not come afishin On Lord Howe it’s the best
