2026.08.14追記 *It’s been a year since “Nōnō - No×No -.” What have we felt, thought, and experienced since then? Drawing on our experiences of learning about, reflecting on, and sharing the realities of war, I’ve written this piece about how we will move forward from here. This song serves as a companion piece, so please be sure to give it a listen. We hope you will read the commentary below as well. タイトルに込めた「NO × NO」は、無関心へのNO。 @ 💔MatchaChocolate69🖤 「炎と毒」 https://suno.com/song/661b15de-04be-4991-9470-f7517567e6a4 @ Excavator 「🔴📝Pica-don is Flash and Bang, Everything evaporated and disappeared」 https://suno.com/song/c02a1c8f-aba8-43e5-97e9-8c2e497364c9 @ オオタカ三鷹 「白いトンネル」 https://suno.com/song/bcca451f-013b-44c7-94a3-fc7ba81d6400 @ぱとれーばー 「勿忘草の記憶」 https://suno.com/song/3d80a36c-2163-414f-85b9-af7bba3fb62d @グリマス(No specific genre) 「8月の花火― 戦没者からの願い ―#花火大会」 https://suno.com/song/a596dd68-1faa-457d-8bbf-6bfaaf787ed4 ++++++++++ "のうのう - No×No - (ft. Let’s begin. [Verse 1] In the sweltering summer heat, The TV said, “It’s the end-of-war day.” Here it comes again, I thought— The one day war feels real. What’s August 15th? Do you know about Pikadon? “What’s that? Tell me,” they ask. Children are innocent and honest. [Pre-Chorus] Shōwa, Heisei, Reiwa—we’ve lived through them all. In peaceful times, we live so easily. In saturated times, we live so numb. Have we even tried to pass it on? [Chorus] By your own will, In your own words, With your own strength, In your own shape— Learn until death. Speak until death. Do not justify. Keep rejecting. We can’t pretend not to know anymore. [Verse 2] Fifth grade. Summer project. Went to Hiroshima City Hall. In a quiet room, I heard the truth: “140,000 lives were lost.” My grandma remembered, The machine gun fire from an enemy plane. She hid in the bushes in a panic— Still dreams about it, trembling. [Pre-Chorus] Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. Someone once lived those days too. Dreams drawn in silence, now gone unnoticed. Have we told our children the truth? [Chorus] By your own will, In your own words, With your own strength, In your own shape— Learn until death. Speak until death. Do not justify. Keep rejecting. We can’t pretend not to know anymore. [Bridge] This isn’t fashion. It’s pain. This ain’t style. It’s pain. Etch it into your soul. [Final Chorus] By your own will, In your own words, With your own strength, In your own shape— Learn until death. Speak until death. Refuse until death. Live on and pass it on. We can’t pretend not to know anymore. (You hear me?) We can’t pretend not to know anymore. (That’s right.) We can’t pretend not to know anymore. (So now—) We can’t pretend not to know anymore! ++++++++++ 🎧 Inspired by a quote from @Excavator: Matcha-san has created many powerful works inspired by their journey through Japan — one of which deeply explores the tragedy of the atomic bomb. Likewise, songs by @Excavator and @OotakaMitaka have brought the scars of history into sound. I felt it was my turn to take that baton and carry it forward. As I wrote this, I realized how little I had actually confronted the war or the atomic bomb — even though I’ve lived through the Shōwa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras, and am now raising a child. During the process, I recalled visiting Hiroshima City Hall with my parents in elementary school. Back then, I didn’t understand — but now I realize: my parents had given me a chance
