[Verse] Clark's out on the rooftop, tangled in the lights, Trying to make Christmas oh-so-bright. Ellen's in the kitchen, wrestlin' with the roast, Kids just roll their eyes, thinkin' dad's a ghost. [Verse 2] Cousin Eddie rolls in with his rusty RV, Parks it on the lawn, where the neighbors can see. He's got a list of problems, longer than a mile, But his heart's in the right place, he's just livin' in style. [Chorus] It's a Griswold Christmas, never goes quite right, But love makes it worth it, through each crazy night. From broken bulbs to family spats, we find our way somehow, In a Griswold Christmas, we're together now. [Verse 3] The tree caught on fire, the cat ran scared, Clark's bonus check never got prepared. Uncle Lewis burnt the tree right down, But we laughed it off, with everyone around. [Verse 4] Dinner’s a disaster, turkey's blown apart, Yet we gather together, sharing one big heart. Underneath the chaos, there's a simple truth, Christmas ain't about the gifts, it's the love in you. [Bridge] Through all the madness, and the shattered dreams, Family's the glue, holding all the seams. From the highs and lows and everything between, We find our joy, in the holiday's routine.
