“ON EAGLES’ WINGS (WE RISE) [VERSE 1 – MALE LEAD (Sparse at first, builds steadily) [Male lead] I’ve been running on empty Dark lit streets and broken sleep Every promise feels paper-thin When the weight of the world comes crashing in They say, “Be strong, don’t bend, don’t break” But I’m worn down past what I can take I need more than a louder voice I need something that outlives the noise PRE-CHORUS – FEMALE LEAD (Rhythm tightens, harmony begins) [Female lead] I’ve been where the shadows shout your name Where fear tries to wear your face But there’s a fire that the dark can’t steal There’s a truth that’s still real [Female Lead ] ; You don’t have to crawl through the storm alone Lift your eyes—there’s a throne CHORUS – BOTH + CHOIR (Full rock anthem explosion) [Male and Female lead] We will rise—on eagles’ wings When the ground beneath us shakes We will run and not grow weak When our hope is almost gone [CHOIR:] Lift your eyes! Lift your eyes! [Choir] Those who wait upon the Lord Will renew their strength again We will soar above the fear On eagles’ wings VERSE 2 – FEMALE LEAD [Female Lead] I’ve seen faith in a hospital room In a whispered prayer at two a.m. I’ve seen chains fall quietly When no one thought we’d breathe again It’s not safe, it’s not polite It’s not blind, it’s not a lie It’s choosing hope when facts say “no” It’s trusting God with what I don’t know [Male lead] I’m learning strength is not control It’s letting mercy shape my soul PRE-CHORUS 2 [Male Lead and Female Lead] When the climb feels way too steep When the night won’t let you sleep There’s a promise written higher Than the flames, than the fire CHORUS 2 – [ALL:] We will rise—on eagles’ wings Past the doubt, past everything We will stand and not give in When the winds begin to roar [CHOIR:] Wait on the Lord! Wait on the Lord! [ALL:] Those who wait upon the Lord Will renew their strength again We will soar above the fear On eagles’ wings BRIDGE – [Male Lead] When I can’t see the way ahead— [CHOIR:] —He is faithful! [Female Lead] When my heart hangs by a thread— [CHOIR:] —He is faithful! [Male Lead] When the world says “You’re alone”— [CHOIR:] —You are held! [Female Lead] When the weight feels like a stone— [CHOIR:] —You are held! [ALL (building):] Not by power! Not by might! But by the Spirit of the living God tonight! [ALL:] We will rise—on eagles’ wings Through the storm, through suffering We will run and not grow weak We will walk and not grow faint [CHOIR:] Lift your eyes! Lift your eyes! [ALL:] Those who wait upon the Lord Will renew their strength again We will soar into the light On eagles’ wings [OUTRO – SOFT TO STRONG ] [Female Lead] (gentle): Faith is not the absence of fear [Male lead] It’s choosing God when He feels near [CHOIR] (soft, then swelling): We will rise… we will rise… [ALL] (final hit): ON EAGLES’ WINGS!!! © 2026 Lyrics by Pastor Jon .
