©️ Rollsplitt Music, sound Eddy Mayr (E. Meier), lyrics B.R. Meier ℹ️ I wrote these quite simple lyrics when I was 20. 😍 The Rock ’n’ Roll Star [rough intro] [D-C-H-A] [verse 1] [high female vocals] When Billy was a small boy, He could play the guitar. The guitar was his own toy, And he felt like a star. [chorus] [G-D-A] He’s a Rock ’n’ Roll star, He’s a Rock ’n’ Roll star. [instrumental] [verse 2] As Billy-Kid grew older, He bought two new guitars. He played all through the evenings With his band in bars. [chorus] [G-D-A] He’s a Rock ’n’ Roll star, He’s a Rock ’n’ Roll star. [instrumental] [solo] [verse 3] The people came to hear the band; They soon came from far And soon the news spread through the land That Billy was a star. [chorus] He’s a Rock ’n’ Roll star, He’s a Rock ’n’ Roll star. [outro]
