[chorus] Hear my prayer, O Lord. Let my cry come to You. Take away the barricade of sin That hinders Your response Fill me with the faith To follow in Your ways [V1] In sickness and health Sustain me, LORD When days pass like smoke, In the fiery trials of life, And hope withers, Like grass, Your Spirit revives me, Like ground soaks up rain [Chorus] Hear my prayer, O Lord. Let my cry come to You. Take away the barricade of sin That hinders Your response Fill me with the faith To follow in Your ways [V2] We will all be forgotten, The works of our hands, In all we strive, Meaningless in time. But You, O LORD, are enthroned Forever Remembered from Age to age. [Chorus] Hear my prayer, O Lord. Let my cry come to You. Take away the barricade of sin That hinders Your response Fill me with the faith To follow in Your ways [V3] Let the nations fear you, Let those in power bow before Your throne Let those still to come Praise Your holy name And in Zion, when the whole earth gathers to worship You, LORD [Chorus] Hear my prayer, O Lord. Let my cry come to You. Take away the barricade of sin That hinders Your response Fill me with the faith To follow in Your ways [V4] You are timeless, Oh Lord, You laid the foundations, Spread out the heavens.
