Lost Boys Hoedown

TREATMENT: THE LOST BOYS… BUT WAY TOO MANY VAMPIRES Logline When a dusty Texas hoedown becomes ground zero for a vampire turf war, two rival undead crews—the chaotic Lost Boys and the aggressively wholesome Found Boys—face off in a sweaty, dirt‑caked square‑dance showdown that ends in total, embarrassing failure. --- Tone & World Imagine The Lost Boys if someone said, “What if we multiplied the vampires by ten and also made everyone look like they’ve been rolling around in a hot gravel pit for three days.” Everyone is sweaty. Everyone is filthy. Nobody looks comfortable. The air smells like dust, sweat, and regret. The annual San Antonio Hoedown & Square Dance Festival is the biggest event of the year, and this time it’s crawling with vampires who are also somehow sweaty. --- The Setup A group of feral, leather‑jacketed vampires known as The Lost Boys descend on the festival, planning to turn the entire crowd into their eternal undead square‑dance cult. But they’re not the only ones in town. A rival vampire crew emerges from the shadows: The Found Boys — a group of reformed, morally earnest vampires who drink ethically sourced blood and believe in community service. They dress like youth pastors who got lost at a rodeo. They’ve sworn to protect humanity… even if humanity smells like old hay and damp denim. --- The Human Element Johnny Lightning—still sweaty from your previous movie—stumbles into the conflict while trying to save the rec center. He’s immediately mistaken for a vampire because he’s so dirty and pale from stress. He’s not a vampire. He’s just dehydrated. --- The Conflict The Lost Boys want chaos. The Found Boys want peace. The festival organizers want everyone to stop dripping sweat onto the dance floor. The only way to settle the dispute? A dance‑off at the Hoedown Showdown. But because this is a square‑dance festival, the dance‑off rules are bizarre: • Every dancer must maintain eye contact with at least one stranger • No one is allowed to stop spinning • If you fall, you must pretend it was intentional • The grand prize is $47 and a coupon for half‑off funnel cake The Lost Boys breakdance aggressively. The Found Boys do synchronized moral choreography. Johnny Lightning tries to freestyle but slips in a puddle of his own sweat. --- The Climax The dance‑off becomes so chaotic, so dusty, so sweaty, so incomprehensible that the judges simply walk away. The music stops. The crowd disperses. The vampires look around, confused. Nobody wins. Not the Lost Boys. Not the Found Boys. Not Johnny. Not the audience. Not the festival. Everyone agrees: “This sucks.” The vampires leave town out of embarrassment. The Found Boys apologize for the inconvenience. Johnny Lightning goes home to shower for the first time in the entire movie.
