[Verse 1] They were beaten in the streets, They were hunted from their homes, They were dragged before the rulers, And they died for one King alone. Some were burned beneath the heavens, Some were buried in the ground, Some were thrown before the lions, But their voices still resound. From the catacombs they shook kingdoms, From the crosses to the flame, Every drop that bore His witness Was all done in His name. Though the world may call them losers, Thinking their blood was shed in vain, Heaven remembers them forever— And their death became their gain. [Pre-Chorus] Remember. Remember. We stand on their shoulders Remember Remember [Chorus] Lambs to the slaughter Killed all the day long Poured out like water Out of weakness made strong In all this we’re more than conquerors Sing a new song! Yeah! [Verse 2] There are mothers mourning children, There are fathers beaten down, There are brothers choosing Jesus When the doors comes crashing down. There are churches torn to pieces, There are Bibles turned to ash, There are saints who whisper “Jesus” As the cops speed past. In the deserts and the prisons, In the villages unknown, There are brothers, sisters suffering, But they don’t stand alone. Every tear is seen by Heaven, Every prayer has reached the throne, And the God who raised up Jesus Will raise His children to their new home [Chorus] Lambs to the slaughter Killed all the day long Poured out like water Out of weakness made strong In all this we’re more than conquerors Sing a new song! Yeah! [Bridge — choir] So remember the forgotten. Remember those whose names Were never carved in marble, Never honored or given fame. Remember those who suffered And refused to bow the knee. Their testimony is still burning: “Jesus is our victory!” He’s our victory! Yeah! [Chorus] Lambs to the slaughter Killed all the day long Poured out like water Out of weakness made strong In all this we’re more than conquerors Sing a new song! (Choir) (Sing a new song!) Sing the song of Moses (Sing a new Song) This is the new exodus Sing a new song (The Song of the redeemed!) (Sing a new song) We have the victory Sing it Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna! Sing a new song!
