[Title: AND THE EARTH HELPED THE WOMAN] [Intro — Haunting Female Lead] A great wonder appeared in heaven, A woman clothed with the sun. The moon beneath her feet, Twelve stars upon her crown. The dragon waited for her child, But heaven had another place— Caught up unto God and His throne, Beyond the serpent's reach! [Verse 1 — Dark Southern Country] TWO WINGS OF A GREAT EAGLE! Given to carry her away! “how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.” “As an eagle stirreth up her nest,” And bears her young upon her wings, “So the LORD alone did lead him,” And no strange god with him! A wilderness prepared, A place to nourish her. A time, and times, and half a time, Away from the serpent's face. [Chorus — Powerful Female Lead] AND THE EARTH HELPED THE WOMAN! THE EARTH OPENED HER MOUTH! THE DRAGON SENT A FLOOD— BUT THE EARTH SWALLOWED IT DOWN! AND THE EARTH HELPED THE WOMAN! THE WINGS WERE GIVEN BY GRACE! THE SERPENT COULD NOT CARRY HER AWAY— SHE HAD HER PREPARED PLACE! [Verse 2 — The Testimony] Peter spoke of old sins purged, John of the cleansing blood. One offering perfected forever, Kept by the power of God! “they shall mount up with wings as eagles;” Their strength renewed in Him. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;” [Verse 3 — Strong Female, Dancing Rhythm] In the wilderness she's fasting, Praying for her children dear. Dancing before the LORD with gladness, For perfect love casts out fear! The dragon wages war against her seed, But she knows what the Scriptures say! Her prayers rise up before the LORD, Her feet keep dancing anyway! [Build — Defiant, Joyful] BECAUSE DON'T YOU KNOW— SHE KNOWS ALL OF THIS! PURGED FROM OLD SINS! CLEANSED BY HIS BLOOD! PERFECTED FOR EVER! KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD! SHE KNOWS WHO HOLDS HER CHILDREN! THE WINGS WERE GIVEN! THE PLACE PREPARED! THE LORD ALONE LEADS HER— AND HER CHILDREN ARE IN HIS CARE! [Bridge — Music Drops, Female Solo] “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” The dragon was wroth with the woman, And made war with the remnant of her seed— “which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” [Final Chorus — Victorious] AND THE EARTH HELPED THE WOMAN! THE EARTH SWALLOWED THE FLOOD! THE WILDERNESS WAS PREPARED! THE TESTIMONY REMAINS! THE BLOOD STILL CLEANSETH! THE LORD STILL KEEPS! AND SHE DANCES BEFORE HER FATHER— IN JESUS NAME! [Outro — Strong Female Solo] “they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb” JESUS IS THE LORD
