[Verse 1] Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a soul like me! Through Christ’s own Church, I now am found, Was blind, but now I see. [Verse 2] ‘Twas grace through sacraments divine, My heart was taught to fear; In Eucharist, God’s love I find, His mercy draws me near. [Verse 3] Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I’ve wandered far from home; The Blessed Virgin’s prayers and care Have led me to God’s throne. [Verse 4] The Lord has promised life to me, His covenant my hope secures; Through Church and saints, my guide shall be, His grace forever endures. [Verse 5] When flesh and heart shall fail at last, And mortal life shall cease, With saints I’ll join, my sins long past, In Christ’s eternal peace. [Verse 6] The earth shall pass, like snow dissolve, The sun no more shall shine; But God, through Mary’s love and call, Shall make me wholly Thine. ©2025 By Matthew E Treviño
