Saturday Mornings Funk

[Verse] Woke up to the glow of a tube TV Bowl of cereal balanced on my knee Heroes and hijinks No better place to be The Super Friends flying through the sky Spidey swings With fire and ice nearby It’s a cartoon world where the rules don’t apply [Chorus] Saturday morning heroes Saving the day Scooby and the gang chasing ghosts away Smurfs in the forest Flintstones at play Looney tunes laugh Let the worries decay [Verse 2] Yabba-dabba-doo echoes through the room Mystery Machine cuts the Saturday gloom Acme rockets boom Wile E. meets his doom Blue skies above Smurf Village So serene Hannah-Barbera filling up the screen Villains plotting But they’re never too mean [Prechorus] Every channel's gold Every show’s a gem When the world was simple I remember them
