Walter's Soup Showdown!
Verse 1: Woke up to the morning sun. Grumpy old Walter’s day begun. Sippin’ coffee, readin’ the news. When his wrinkled eyes caught the juicy clues. “Discount soup? Just a dime!” This is my chance, it’s soup-fetching time! He grabbed his cane, kicked up his feet. Time to race for that savory treat! Pre-Chorus: Stormed out the door, with a fierce old grin. A dash for the store, let the madness begin! With other old-timers eyeing the prize. It’s a showdown of grumps, a sight to despise. Chorus 1: Old men clash, carts collide. Flying through the aisles, nowhere to hide. (SHOUT!) “Get outta my way!” (GRUMBLE GRUM) “This is my can!” In a soup-laden brawl, it’s every old man! (WHACK!) “You think you’re tough? Try this bite!” (SNARL) “I’ll take ya down, soup’s in sight!” (BRRRT!) “Did you hear that?” Or was that the soup taking flight?” Verse 2: Walt zooms past Mrs. McVee. “Hey, that’s my soup! You’re not faster than me!” Bumping carts, they screech and squeal, (THUD!) “Watch it, grandpa!” (HARRUMPH!) “Oh, Get real!” They wrestle for cans, it’s an epic display. (BITE!) “You’ll bite my arm?” (GRIMACE) “I’ll bite your toupee!” The canned goods aisle’s a chaotic affair, With walkers sliding, oh, what a scare! Bridge: And in the madness, Walter thinks; “Why fight for soup, should we share a drink?” With a wink and a nod, he ponders so sly. Maybe friendship beats soup, oh my, oh my! (GASPS) “Wait a minute!” (SQUAWK) “What did you say?” “Sounds like the soup’s making a play!” (Scream) "Just my old knees creaking, or is that the pea soup too?” Chorus 2: Old men unite, let go of the strife. In laughter and soup, we find joy in life. “Yo, let’s celebrate!” (HOORAY!) “Time to feast!” With can in hand, they gather 'round, In the heart of the store, friendship’s found! “Sorry fellas, I didn’t mean to part!” Outro: So here’s to the grumps, the soup and the past, With each little battle, we grow and we last. Together we’ll laugh, through soup we’ll connect, In this crazy old age, it’s love we select! (BRRRT!) “Last one to the soup, grumpy honor, I erect!” “Now that’s the real deal, respect!”
