[𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻] 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻! 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂! 𝗙𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲! 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱! 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱! 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿! [𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗼] 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁. 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹. 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿. 📃Conzept Note: 💡As part of the small “Gloomtober" Showcase Event organized by StorytellerZ, I thought about what comes to mind when I think of fall. My father loved his “golden October” because the leaves changed color, the last rays of sunshine of the year could once again warm your face, and the world was bathed in golden hues. 📝Lyrically, I stuck to the theme of "Dunkelheit & Bedrohung“(darkness & menace, though “darkness” isn’t quite the right word in this case). Roughly speaking, I wanted to transform “Golden October”, which is supposed to be beautiful, into something unsettling. Since I often work with deep emotions in metalcore, I chose the theme of exposure: While people find October, with its warm light and golden colors, incredibly beautiful, the protagonist, who is already struggling mentally, feels uncomfortably exposed in the spotlight of the sun in front of everyone who can see him, which is a disturbing experience for him. ⚙️For the instrumental, I chose “Unruhe & Kontrollverlust” (Restlessness & Loss of Control), which is perfect for metalcore, since I wanted to give the feeling of exposure a restless and unsettling edge. Of course, Suno didn’t do exactly what I wanted, because I actually wanted to work ONLY with screams and growls. But as I gradually kept generating the song, the anthemic sound actually started to sound pretty good to me. The pre-chorus, in particular, turned out incredibly well in my opinion and creates a beautiful contrast to the raw power of the guttural vocals and the aggressive guitar riffs. At the same time, it’s also the first successful metalcore song I’m releasing using the Suno Model V6. I really enjoyed experimenting with it again, and I’m looking forward to using this song as the foundation for future tracks.
