## Walking Together: Songs for Solidarity ## This is an entry in the Walking Together songwriting contest. The WEF estimates there are over 150 million people without homes worldwide. This project is aimed at supporting efforts to help people "made of potential" out of homelessness in co-operation with Homeless Entrepreneurs. "Every corners a story, Every shadows a face But we walk on by every single day" "Under every bridge, a story sleeps, (You look away…) Behind every door, a shadow weeps. (You hear that?) Trash can feasts and cardboard homes, But we all just scroll our phones." (Keep walking… just keep walking…) (“But they’re still here!”) "They’re breathing the same air, can’t you see? (Right there!) But we turn away, pretend to be free. Broken voices fade, unheard prayers, But they’re breathing… the same air." (But they’re right there…) "Every corner a vacant stare, (Another face… gone.) Every hand stretched into thin air. (No one sees…) No names, no face, no time to care, We pretend… they’re not there." (But they are…) "We write them off, we close our eyes…" "We build our walls, we tell our lies…" (“But they’re breathing… the same air.”) "They’re breathing the same air, can’t you see? (Right there!) But we turn away, pretend to be free. Broken voices fade, unheard prayers, But they’re breathing… the same air." (Still here… still breathing.) "Every shadow’s a story… every breath’s a prayer…" (“Still breathing… still here.”)
