Shooting Stars

[Verse] I saw a light it split the sky A streak of fire waving goodbye Across the dark it drew a line A whispered hope beyond the time [Chorus] Shooting stars they guide the way Through the brush of night and shades of gray Grant a wish then fade away But their sparkle in your heart will stay [Verse 2] Desert winds began to sing Night brought whispers on its wing I reached up felt the glowing heat A bittersweet celestial beat [Chorus] Shooting stars they guide the way Through the brush of night and shades of gray Grant a wish then fade away But their sparkle in your heart will stay [Bridge] Close your eyes let the stardust speak A thousand dreams the cosmos leaks Hold them tight or set them free The universe is yours to see [Chorus] Shooting stars they guide the way Through the brush of night and shades of gray Grant a wish then fade away But their sparkle in your heart will stay
