Don't Lead Me On!

Folks, This is a previously unreleased, alternative version of my 2025 track “Don’t Lead Me On!” It grew out of an early draft, but I wasn’t really happy with the lyrics back then after generation. And yet, over the months, I kept listening to this track again and again, and it grew closer and closer to my heart. There’s just something about the melody - it fits the lyrics and the message in a way that feels right. I hope you enjoy this newly Suno Studio-polished version of the track, now with freshly revised lyrics. 🖤TRJ💛 =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= https://suno.com/@therealjester77 Lyrics by TheRealJester © 𝟮𝟬𝟮6 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱. =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= [Verse 1] You call me late like it's no big deal, Say you're outside spinning your wheels. I let you in but I keep my guard. 'Cos there's a soft heart hiding behind these scars. [Pre-Chorus] If you're here, just for the thrill, I'm not the kinda girl who bends to your will. [Chorus] Don't lead me on! Don't play pretend! Show your true heart, If you want my hand! Be real! Or this will end! I'm not your game, Don't lead me on, You better understand. [Verse 2] You smile like you know my very soul, But my heart won't come free, just to make you whole. Your words are sugar, but I need your truth. Don't you dare wrap me in lies, like a cheap excuse. [Pre-Chorus] If you're here, just for the ride, Better say it now, 'cos I'm not gonna lose my pride. (No, not like this!) [Chorus] Don't lead me on! Don't play pretend! Show your true heart, If you want my hand! Be real! Or this will end! I'm not your game, Don't lead me on, You better understand. [Bridge] There's been a time of ash and dust, I’ve knelt before deceit and mistrust. If you’re here to hold me near, Then say it clear so I can hear! I need love that’s brave and kind, No hollow pledges you leave behind! [Chorus] Don't lead me on. Don't play pretend. Show your true heart, If you want my hand. Be real! Or this will end! I'm not your game, Don't lead me on, You better understand! [Final Chorus] (Don't lead me on!) Don't play pretend! (Don't play pretend!) Show your true heart, (true heart!) If you want my hand! Be real! (Be real!) Or this will end! I'm not your game, Don't lead me on, You better understand! I'm not your game, Don't lead me on, You better understand. [Outro] I hope you understand.
