A Man's Gospel (NDC)

Born in innosense, hasted into sin, chained to the expected, society's norms. Meaningless absurdity, so heavy to bear, No sane man sits with ease, in his own mind, time only add, no solution-this stress. He can't flee! He’s a man alone! But he's still your own! I live and I breathe, therefore I am, My mind plays tricks, sorrow in my eyes,, they can see, but interpret like a blind man. Freedom’s a weight, so heavy to bear — Drowning in meaning that ain’t even there! > Drownin’ in meaning! pull him to air! > Free him, saint (Free him!) He’s fightin’ fire, he’s making a-mence — Free him, saint (Free him!) Save him from his hurts and distress! Free him, saint (Oh free him!) Tear down his sorrow, his shame, his game — Free him, saviour (Oh free him!) Lift him up, saint — he's just a man! --- > I read your silence, I felt your stare, I saw my soul, and it wasn’t there. Freedom tastes like a frustrating game, Oh Lord, I’m a pilgrim chained to my brain. > Bless his name, saints! Hear his cry again! > I tried to love, but I turned away, feared my body, I feared the game. But the absurd keeps hummin’, whilst time silently pray, Angels, please don’t let my soul decay! > Don’t let him fade, saints! Don’t let him fade! > I am condemned to be free. Free him, God! My hell’s in my liberty. Free him, Saints! There's no meaning, but I still believe. Believe, believe, believe! Know that even pure hearts can bleed! > Free him, Saint! Free him, God! (Free him!) He’s fightin’ the fire, he’s lost in the world, Free him, God, from the thought's so absurd. Free him, Saint! Free him, Saint! (Oh free him!) Wash his soul of the unmeaningless strain — he's still a man,, he's still a man.. He’s a man of dust, but he’ll rise again...
