COME AND SEE! The first seal broke, The thunder answered, A white horse crossed the burning sky. A bow in hand, A crown was given, He rode to conquer far and wide. No sword was drawn, No warning spoken, Still every kingdom bent the knee. And from the throne The summons thundered: COME AND SEE! RIDE! Four shadows across the land! RIDE! At the breaking of His hand! White and red! Black and pale! Hear the hoofbeats! Hear them wail! FOUR HORSEMEN RIDE! The second seal, A horse like scarlet, Its rider raised a crimson blade. Peace fled the earth, And brother slew brother, The fields of men became their graves. The nations burned, The cities trembled, The sword was hungry, running free. And through the smoke The summons thundered: COME AND SEE! The third rode black Across the wasteland, A pair of scales within his hand. A voice declared The price of hunger, While empty children watched the grain. A day's hard wage For bread to live on, But spare the oil, And spare the wine. The rich still feast Behind their windows. The poor... They die. Then came the fourth. A horse stood pale. No crown. No glory. No disguise. The rider's name Was simply Death. And Hell came following behind. By sword and hunger, Plague and beast, The grave reached out across the land. A fourth of Earth Lay in his shadow. Death rode at his command. RIDE! Four shadows across the land! RIDE! Judgment follows close at hand! White and red! Black and pale! Kingdoms fall! And nations fail! FOUR HORSEMEN RIDE! White! Red! Black! PALE! The fifth seal waits.
