Paper 144 – At Gilboa and in the Decapolis 🎶 Song: Prayer, Breath of the Soul (Introduction) God our Father, love so near, Calls His children, near and clear. Prayer, the breath of the spirit's role, Worship, the song of every soul. (Verse 1 – The Gilboa Encampment) In quiet hills, the Master stayed, Faith confirmed and hearts remade. In retreat, love's spirit flame, Brothers gathered in His name. (Verse 2 – The Discourse on Prayer) Prayer is the breath of the soul," He said, Life renewed, by spirit fed. Not empty words, nor rote demand, But living trust in the Father's hand. (Verse 3 – The Believer's Prayer) Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our bread for tomorrow; Refresh our souls with the water of life. And forgive us every one our debts As we also have forgiven our debtors. Save us in temptation, deliver us from evil, And increasingly make us perfect like Yourself. (Verse 4 – More About Prayer) Prayer renews, the soul takes flight, Breaking chains of earthly night. Silent whispers, spirit's tone, The Father holds His children close. (Verse 5 – Other Forms of Prayer) From worlds afar, the voices rise, Seeking mercy, truth, and light. Seven prayers of faith and trust, The Father's will is always just. (Verse 6 – Conference with John's Apostles) Brothers met in love and peace, Differences found their sweet release. One prayer shared, one faith begun, Two paths united into one. (Verse 7 – In the Decapolis Cities) Gentile hearts received the flame, The gospel spread in His holy name. Universal truth, no race confined, The Father's love for all mankind. (Verse 8 – In Camp Near Pella) By Jordan's banks, the camp was made, Teaching hearts, foundations laid. Training souls to walk the way, Preparing dawn for a brighter day. (Verse 9 – Death of John the Baptist) The prophet fell, his voice was gone, Yet faith in God still carried on. Jesus stood, the kingdom's light, Personal faith, the world's new sight. (Special Chorus) Personal religion, heart's embrace, Flowing to the world with endless grace. From soul to soul, the light is sown, Universal love, the Father's own. No tribal god, no nation's claim, But one great family in His name. Jesus lived the Father's way, Personal faith with universal sway.
