Paper 149 β The Second Preaching Tour πΆ Song: Not Fear, But Trust (Introduction) Across the towns of Galilee, The kingdom spread beside the sea. A hundred seventeen went forth, To share the Father's priceless worth. (Verse 1 β The Widespread Fame of Jesus) His name was known in every land, For healing touch and helping hand. Yet more than wonders He came to do, Revealing the Father, faithful and true. (Verse 2 β Attitude of the People) Some came seeking truth and light, Some came burdened by their plight. Though hearts were different, one by one, He called them upward to the Father's sun. (Verse 3 β Hostility of the Religious Leaders) Many minds could understand, Yet closed their hearts to God's command. For only through the spirit's call, Can brotherhood unite us all. (Chorus) Not fear, but trust, Not signs alone. Not merely seeking earthly gain, But finding God upon the way. Children of one Father above, Growing through truth and living love. The kingdom comes for those who see, Their destiny in eternity. (Verse 4 β Progress of the Preaching Tour) The evangelists went two by two, Learning faith in all they'd do. The apostles guided, taught, and led, While David's messengers spread ahead. No task too small within God's plan, Each willing heart became His hand. For service freely chosen still, Reveals the Father's loving will. (Verse 5 β Lesson Regarding Contentment) Seek not peace from wealth or praise, Nor restless dreams of future days. The thankful soul has found the art, Of carrying heaven within the heart. (Verse 6 β The "Fear of the Lord") The ancient world knew fear and dread, Of angry gods and judgment spread. But Jesus showed a higher way, To trust the Father every day. Reverence, wonder, love sincere, Not trembling terror standing near. The child who knows the Father's care, Finds courage growing everywhere. (Bridge) In body and mind we differ still, In thought and feeling, choice and will. Yet one great gift resides in all, The spirit answering Heaven's call. And only there can nations find, A lasting peace for humankind. Not by force nor uniformity, But through spiritual unity. (Verse 7 β Returning to Bethsaida) The tour was done, yet more remained, For every worker now was changed. Not merely followers of a name, But living bearers of Heaven's flame. (Special Chorus) They sought a healer for their pain, He taught a kingdom to be gained. They looked for bread that fades away, He offered life that will not decay. They searched for miracles to see, He spoke of immortality. Beyond the body, time, and dust, The Master taught: Not fear, but trust. (Outro) Across the roads of Galilee, He planted seeds eternally. The Father's love, the spirit's light, Will guide His children through the night. π
