πΆ Song 153 β Bread of Life and Living Faith
Paper 153 β The Crisis at Capernaum πΆ Song: Bread of Life and Living Faith (Verse 1 β The Setting of the Stage) Before the storm, the silence lay, The Master watched the coming day. Friends confused and foes drew near, A moment charged with hope and fear. (Verse 2 β The Epochal Sermon) "Choose this day whom you will serve," The truth demanded strength and nerve. Not for loaves nor earthly gain, But life eternal to attain. (Verse 3 β The Bread of Life) "I am the Bread of Life," he cried, The Father's love revealed inside. Not bread that perishes away, But truth that lives beyond the day. (Verse 4 β The After Meeting) One in spirit with the Son, As he and Father are made one. Not flesh and blood for men to take, But living faith the soul shall wake. (Verse 5 β Clean Hearts) "It is not what enters in," That makes the soul condemned by sin. From the heart the fruits arise, Truth or darkness, wrong or wise. (Verse 6 β Last Words in the Synagogue) "How can Satan cast out Satan?" The truth stood firm though hatred threatened. "The tree is known by fruits it bears," He spoke despite their angry stares. (Verse 7 β The Saturday Evening) Many turned and walked away, Few remained with him to stay. Yet Peter stood through doubt and strife, "You speak the words of eternal life." (Bridge) Crowds may vanish, thrones may fall, Truth remains beyond them all. The spirit quickens, faith survives, And God's own love transforms our lives. (Chorus) Bread of Life and Living Faith, Guide us by the Father's grace. When the world no longer sees, Still we trust eternally. Bread of Life and Living Faith, Stronger than the crowd's embrace. Through the crisis we shall see, The kingdom lives spiritually.
