I dream of Christmas oh so long ago Looking to the stars for Santa’s sleigh above. Driving around, lights flashing on the homes, luminarias all along the road. So much magic, so much hope, childhood dreams perfected on one night. Dreams came true on Christmas morning, year after year, no matter where you came from no matter who you were. Where did all that go? Was it really oh so long ago? It’s not over this Christmas. Still so much to hope for. Make a memory for others like the ones that were made for you. Memories made in good times, in the bad times too. It’s not over this Christmas. Never gonna get over Christmas how about you? It’s not over, restore your dreams. Times gone by so fast, left you feeling the best of life is over. Take a deep breath, bow your head, it’s never too late to start something new. It won’t be perfect this Christmas, there will still be poverty, there will be illness, there will be tyrants, no matter where you are, no matter how dark it seems, there will still be hope. There will still be faith. Yes, because of Christmas there will be love, there will be peace. I’m gonna hold on to my prayer no matter what. Pray for the peace, be the one that can inspire. Jesus has been born, the peace that we desire. Christmas time take us higher, take us to our home, bring us back to our dreams. Maybe you’ll fall in love this Christmas, maybe make a new friend. Maybe just a warm hug in the winter chill. What is it about Christmas that makes time stand still? It’s not over this Christmas. Never gonna get over Christmas how about you? Christmas comes just once a year, but no matter what, somehow that once a year feels like more than just one day. Seems like all your life is marked by your Christmas every year. No memories stand taller. Nothing rings as true as Christmas and the memories made. It’s not over this Christmas. Be the memory you want to make. Share the love you must give. It won’t be perfect. Christmas never was. It was a born in a barn outcast with hay and animals, a small poor family all alone. Light the advent candles. Look at the Calendar, count down the days. Look at the sky, look for the sleigh. Lay in bed and try to be quiet. Try to stay awake. Try to hear the bells. The candy, the presents, the reindeer, the shepherds, the angel, the wisemen. A dream come true that lasts forever, just let it all in. It’s not over this Christmas. Never gonna get over Christmas, how about you?
