2025/2026 BYU Basketball: Game 16: at Utah: Cougar Roar in Rival's Den

[Pre-Chorus]
From the shadows of the break, we charge, we claim,
Cougar pride in every play, hear the rivalry flame.

[Chorus]
Oh, BYU, conquerors in the Utes' own den!
89 to 84, stretch the streak to twelve again!
Saunders MVP with 24 and 14 boards,
Wright's 23, Dybantsa's streak, feel the victory swords!
From 81 to 80 tight, to Brown's late turnover fall,
Richie seals it at the line, answering the call.
Rival blood in Huntsman, but the Cougars stand tall—
Go Cougs, go Cougs, we own it all!

[Verse 2]
Second half storm, 12 to 2 run shakes the core,
Saunders drops 17, reverse layup for the score.
57 to 45 lead, Utes push but we hold the line,
Wright's trey and assist, Keita's layup divine.
Brown and McHenry twenty plus, fighting to the end,
But our blue wave crashes, no quit, we defend.

[Pre-Chorus]
No lead too safe, no crowd too loud for our crew,
Kevin Young's warriors, Big 12 beasts through and through.

[Bridge]
Forty-five miles apart, but the fire burns eternal,
Best rivalry blazing, chants echo infernal.
Saunders high tied, nine straight twenties for AJ's name,
Utah's streak snaps, in our glory we claim.
From sellout screams to the final buzzer's ring,
Cougar hearts united, let the victory sing!
